Welcome to my Team One Step fundraising page!  My name is Shae Brown (I'm in the yellow).  On October 8, 2017, I will be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of Team One Step. In return I am guaranteed an entry into the marathon.

Team One Step supports Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Through their One Step Programs, they allow children with cancer to enjoy a week of carefree fun with other kids who understand. One Step Programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope, strength, and empowerment. I have chosen Team One Step because during my journey in fighting cancer as a teenager, I was able to attend a camp similar to this thru MD Anderson's Children's Cancer program with my younger sister.

Also it is very important to me to be able to run this marathon this year because I will be running it along side my heart transplant donor's dad, Fred. This race is dedicated to and in honor of Alyssa. 

I hope you will consider supporting my marathon journey as I raise a minimum of $1,500, the cost of sending a child to a One Step Camp Program for one week.  Thank you so much for your support.
